Ryan J. Talamante

In 1993, Ryan began his practice as an attorney at Van
Cott & Talamante’s predecessor firm, Glover & Van Cott,
concentrating on complex commercial litigation.
Throughout his career, he has represented various
private companies, both large and small, and has also
represented various state insurance guaranty
associations in litigation involving statutory
interpretation. Throughout his career he has remained at
Glover & Van Cott, which in 2010 became Van Cott &
Talamante.
He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and is
admitted to practice before the United States District
Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
Ryan
was born in Glendora, California in
1968, but
has resided in Arizona since
early childhood. In 1990,
he graduated from Arizona State University where he
majored in Economics and was the recipient of a Hispanic
Business Alumni Scholarship. He graduated from the
University of Arizona College of Law in May 1993. While
in law school, he was a member of the Arizona Law Review
and served as Executive Note Editor. In 1992, he
published "We Can’t All Be Lawyers . . . Or Can We?
Regulating the Unauthorized Practice of Law in Arizona,"
34 Ariz. L. Rev. 873 (1992). During law school, he also
received the award for Best Written Brief in the Fegtly
Moot Court Competition, the AmJur Award for the highest
score in Civil Procedure, and was the recipient of a Law
College Association Scholarship.
